Classroom Rules for Students’ Success
学生课堂规则
1. Be “Ready to Learn” and fully equipped for the lesson (with student planner, handouts, pen, pencil, and ruler, etc). Students must register at either 7:45 AM（IG）or 8:05 AM (IBDP/AP/A LEVEL). If students are late after the time of 7:45 AM (A3)/ 8: 15 AM (A5-6-9), the duty teacher must inform their form teacher. Students must respect and honour the classroom rules of their teachers, regardless of which physical classroom they are in.
做好学习准备：为课程做好充分准备（包括学生计算器、讲义、钢笔、铅笔和尺子等）。学生必须在上午 7:45（A3）或上午 8:05（A5-6-9）到教室。如果学生在早上 7:45 (A3)/早上 8:15 (A5-6-9) 之后到，任课老师必须通知他们的班主任。遵守和敬畏班级规章制度，走班时维护好其他班级的秩序和卫生。
2. Punctuality: （A）All students must be out of the dormitory by 7:35 am. Any student leaving the dormitory after this time will receive a Tardy mark on their academic record. （B）Students must arrive at school on time. Students are expected to be punctual for lessons. Students outside the door and rushing in after the bell has begun to ring will be considered tardy. You must be in your seat when the bell rings to be counted present.
准时：所有学生务必在7:35分统一离开宿舍，7:35后统一作晚离寝处理。学生必须准时进教室上课，铃声响起后冲进教室的同学算做迟到。
3. Return to school on Sunday: Students must arrive at the school before 7:20 PM on Sunday evenings.
周日返校：学生必须在周日晚上7:20 前到达学校。
4. Attendance register: The school keeps an exhaustive record of the absences of the students and immediately contacts the parents if a child is absent.
出勤记录：学校会对学生的缺勤情况进行详尽记录，如果缺勤严重会立即联系家长（≥3）。
5. Be polite in your manner and speech: Students should be polite and courteous to all the members of the school community. A lack of respect towards teachers or class-mates will not be tolerated at any time.
行为举止要有礼貌：学生应该对学校的所有教职工和同学有礼貌。在任何时候都不会容忍不礼貌行为。
6. No bullying: No type of bullying/cyber bullying, neither psychological nor, of course, physical, will be tolerated under any circumstances.
禁止欺凌：在任何情况下都不会容忍任何类型的欺凌/网络欺凌，包括言语上的、心理上的、行为上的等。
7. Be helpful: To help their fellow students whenever necessary, to protect the younger ones, and to be friendly towards everybody is a golden rule for our students.
乐于助人：友善对待同学和师长，鼓励同学间团结互助。
8. Full school uniform: School uniform must be worn by all students throughout the school. Casual dress may be worn on Friday and Sunday nights; Unreasonable excuses - for example, ‘it’s too dirty’, ‘it’s in the washing’, etc. - will not be accepted for a missing school uniform. However, attire must still be appropriate. They should be at knee length, i.e. touching the knee caps.
校服：全校所有学生周一至周四必须穿校服（校服须外穿）。周五和周日晚上可以穿休闲装，但着装仍然必须得体（严禁任何超短服装），裙装要及膝。关于校服制度，学校不接受以下不正当不穿校服理由：校服全部洗了，校服在某处，校服丢失等。
9. Electronic devices: Mobile phones and other electronic devices are TOTALLY FORBIDDEN (Year 9, 10 & 11) in the school teaching buildings. Any items seem inside of the buildings will be confiscated and will be kept securely for the remainder of the school year.
电子设备：学校教学楼内完全禁止使用手机和其他电子设备（9年级、10年级和11年级）。任何未经学校批准的电子设备（智能手机、平板电脑、游戏机等）都将被没收，按规定给予处分，并将在本学年剩余时间内由学校保管。
10. Due to university applications, year 12 students may keep their mobile phones: When class is in session, cell phones and other electronic devices must be turned off. If they are not turned off, they will be confiscated. Mobile phones and other electronic devices must be kept out of the school teaching buildings.
电子产品：由于申请大学的需要，12年级学生可以酌情申请使用电子设备，但上课时，手机和其他电子设备必须关闭，否则将被没收。
11. Speak when permitted: Most of the time, you must raise your hand in class and wait to be called on before speaking. There may be times during group work when quiet talking is permitted. Be aware of when talking is and isn't allowed. It is important that students remain quiet during exams until all students have finished.
在允许的情况下发言：学生必须在课堂上举手并等待老师许可才能发言。在小组合作中允许安静交谈。在考试期间，所有学生都要保持安静，直到所有学生都完成考试。
12. Academic honesty: Students caught cheating/plagiarism will receive a zero and a phone call home. Both the student who shares his/her work and the person who copies it will suffer the same consequences. Be mindful of accidental cheating by covering your paper during exams and preparation of other graded assignments.
学术诚信：在完成考试和评价性作业过程中，务必注意学术诚信，被发现作弊/抄袭的学生将被判零分并进行处分，同时电话告知家长。提供答案和抄袭答案的同学都将视为作弊。。
13. No food and drinks: Chewing gum is not allowed anywhere in the school building or garden. Students are asked not to eat or drink during the lessons (water is allowed). Food or drink is not permitted in the Study Building and food is not permitted in the classrooms. Students can eat in the Common Rooms and Canteens. Obviously, smoking or drinking alcohol is TOTALLY FORBIDDEN in school. Examples of distracting and/or destructive food and beverage include, but are not limited to: beverages with colouring or dyes; food that emits an odour of any kind; soups, rice-bowls, meat skewers, hot prepared foods, etc. Classroom teachers and building administrators have the right to refuse a student's entry to class and/or the building if they are found to be in possession of offensive food or beverage. This refusal may result in an unexcused tardy or absence from class. Being late to class due to the consumption of food and/or beverage will not count as an excused tardy.
禁止饮食：不允许带食物（包括：口香糖、油炸食品、关东煮、方便面、饭团、肯德基麦当劳等有气味的食物和有色饮料（可乐和奶茶））进教学楼。学生在上课期间不可以吃东西，不喝有色饮料。学校完全禁止吸烟或饮酒。教职员工均有权阻止学生带上述食物和饮料进教学楼。
14. Organize a cleaning rota: Each student is allotted a day when they are responsible for tidying the classroom. Individual ownership will increase over time as students assume these cleaning roles and recognize the importance of everybody's actions. Pay attention to the energy-saving, such as, electricity, slides, and the AC systems, etc.
班级值日：为了给同学们提供一个良好、卫生的学习环境，每位学生都有义务打扫和维护教室卫生，服从学校和班级值日安排，做好轮流值日工作。 培养节能环保意识，及时关闭不需要的电灯、投影仪以及空调等 （同样适用于走班的同学）。
15. No valuable belongings: Children should not bring any valuable items to school. Students must look after their own belongings and respect others’, as well as the school’s.
不携带贵重物品：学生不要带任何贵重物品到学校。学生必须照顾好自己的财物，尊重他人的财物和学校的财物。
16. Accessories: The school does not allow most jewellery to be worn (i.e. rings and necklaces, etc). It will, however, be acceptable to wear one small gold or silver stud in each earlobe, although these must be removed for sport activities. Facial and tongue piercings are not acceptable on grounds of health and safety. Students who break the rule and wear jewellery will be told to remove it. The school will not accept responsibility for the safekeeping of jewellery that students have been asked to remove.
珠宝首饰：学校不允许佩戴首饰（如戒指和项链等），不接受任何面部和舌头穿孔。违反规则私下佩戴珠宝首饰造成遗失或于体育运动中受伤等情况，由学生自行承担责任。
17. Hair colour / style: Ideally students are expected to keep their hair short and neat, but hairstyles can be very varied. Natural hair colour is encouraged. Highlights, non-natural colours, and tipped or dipped hair is not allowed. Cosmetics and fluffy dolls are prohibited in teaching building.
发色/发型：学生应该保持头发整洁和自然发色，不允许染发。不允许携带化妆品和毛绒玩具抱枕带入教学楼。
18. Turn in work on time: Unless you have been given an extension, always turn in your work on time. Late assignments will receive a lower score. If you have missed a lesson or an assignment, make arrangements with your teacher to complete the work.
按时交作业：学生应按老师要求在规定时间内提交作业。迟交的作业将获得较低的分数。如有特殊情况应及时和任课老师沟通解决。
19. Students should refrain from public displays of affection (e.g. no hugging, no kissing) while on the campus.
同学之间的交往：男女学生校园内交往得体（不允许勾肩搭背、拥抱、亲吻等行为）。
20. Evening studies: Session 1 – 2 study time; Session 3 tutorial time. If the student would like to leave the classroom for any reason during the evening sessions, they must make a request to the duty teacher and receive a certificate of approval.
晚自习：第1-2节学习时间；第 3 节辅导时间。如需辅导可在第三节课进行以维持晚自习的纪律。如果学生在晚自习期间因任何原因离开教室，必须向值班老师提出请求并获得批准。
21. Students may not receive any extra, external online tutoring or classes from Monday-Friday. If they would like to participate in online classes or classes outside of the campus, they should be conducted only on the weekends.
在线课程：为了维持正常的教学秩序，周日晚自习至周五下午，学生不得接受任何额外的在线辅导课程。
22. Students are expected to behave at all times so that they bring credit upon the school. This particularly refers to travelling to and from school, especially on public transport and on school buses. Students may be banned from the school bus for anti-social behaviour.
学校荣誉：学生在任何时候都应该以维护学校荣誉以及展现良好的自我素养为己任。尤其是在往返学校的交通上，比如乘坐公共交通工具和校车，行为端正，尊老爱幼，禁止学生任何时候作出有损于学校荣誉和学生形象的不恰当行为。
23. Open Class Periods: If a student’s schedule is such that he/she does not have class during any learning period 1-9, he/she must attend and check in to the self-study session during this time. If a student does not attend self-study during an open class period or is late to self-study, he/she will be marked as absent or tardy on their academic record.
空课：所有空课均视为自习课，学生应严格遵守自习课相关要求，在指定的教室自习。如有违反者，都以缺课论处。
Punishment 1: The school can discipline students if they behave badly. Examples of punishments include a letter home, confiscating something inappropriate (electronic devices), and detention, as well as a warning letter. The school has the right to exclude the students who misbehave in and outside of school.
可能性处罚1：如果学生表现不佳，学校可以对其进行纪律处分。惩罚包括：告知家长单、从社团移除、没收违规物品（电子设备）、停课停宿、留堂、警告、严重警告、记过、留校察看、开除。学校有权开除在校内外行为不端的学生。
Punishment 2: If any single student accumulates 3 or more infractions related to the above regulations, he/she will be expelled from the dormitory for 2-4 weeks, at the discretion of the school administrators.
可能性处罚2：如学生累计（3次）违纪以上任何三项内容，学校有权要求该学生退宿2-4周.
Punishment 3: Detention: Detention shall be held every Friday afternoon from 3pm-6pm. Parents will be informed in advance. If students break any of the above rules listed in this document, they will be given detention. If the student constantly breaks these rules for three times, the warning procedures outlined in the student handbook will be swiftly applied.
可能性处罚3（留堂）：留堂时间为每周五下午 3 点至 6 点。班主任会提前通知家长。如果学生违反本文件中列出的任何上述规则，他们将被留堂。如果学生留堂超过三次，学生手册中列出的警告处罚将开始实施。
